Guests choosing to spend their holidays in our farmhouse with swimming pool, will be able to choose from a wide range of recreational activities to engage in within the farm as well as from a variety of sports to be played at sporting facilities within easy ready from our farmhouse.
Swimming-pool: available to all guests is a superb 7 x 14 m swimming-pool with Roman steps (also suitable for children) set amidst a lovely landscaped garden.
Guests will be able to book a tennis court in nearby Terontola and Tuoro sul Trasimeno (3 km) or in Camucia (10 km) for a fun time with friends and family.
A well-known horse centre, located about 15 km from the farmhouse, offers riding, grooming and saddling lessons as well as the opportunity to practice and improve your steeplechase skills within a spacious, well-equipped-riding ground.
A lovely, well-kept cycle track meanders for about 80 km along the shores of Lake Trasimeno, offering panoramic views and the chance for guests to stop over for a savoury snack. Here at the farmhouse, you will be able to get all the information you need on how to rent a bike and about the best cycling routes and itineraries.
Walking lovers will be able to choose from a wide range of trekking trails of varying degrees of difficulty and length, winding their way both through the countryside and up in the hills and mountains between Lake Trasimeno and Cortona.
Ideally located in close proximity to its shores, our farmhouse allows guests to go sport fishing on Lake Trasimeno whose waters abound with perch, eel, pike, carp and many other freshwater fish.
Sailing and water-sport lovers will find the area extremely attractive and will have a chance to take sailing and kite-surf lessons from expert instructors in Tuoro sul Trasimeno.
Recommended day-trips in Umbria and Tuscany include a boat-ride to the three islands on Lake Trasimeno for a fun, relaxing day in untouched natural surroundings.
Boats to Isola Maggiore leave from Tuoro sul Trasimeno, whilst those to Isola Polvese leave from San Feliciano, a 25-minute drive from our farmhouse.
Also worth the drive is a trip to the Cascate delle Marmore, spectacular man-made waterfalls, among the tallest in Europe and ranked among the ten most beautiful waterfalls in the world. The waterfalls are a 2h drive away from farmhouse La Sosta di Annibale. A path allows visitors to ready the top of the falls; the Marmore park is also a popular canoeing, kayaking and rafting destination.
Each week of the year, towns and villages in the surroundings of farmhouse La Sosta di Annibale host regular town markets, where you will be ble to purchase typical food products from boh Tuscany and Umbria; popular local markets the Friday market in Tuoro sul Trasimeno, the Wednesday market in Castiglion del Lago, the Thursday market in Camucia and the Saturday market in Cortona.
In addition, on the first Saturday and Sunday of each month, Arezzo plays host to the bustling Fiera Antiquaria, the largest and oldest antique fair in Italy where exhibitors from all over Italy showcase antique and vintage pieces of furniture, paintings, art objects, etc.
Shopping lovers will not want to miss out on a visit to Outlet Village Valdichiana, a true shopping village with streets and squares lined with dozens of shops. Besides over 140 shops, the outlet village also includes a large playground and a variety of restaurants and bars to choose from.
